Site Manager (Operations)

As a Site Manager you are responsible for leading the entire Operations part of the business in Soest consisting of Production, Logistics and Warehouse, HSEQ, LAB, R&D and Procurement and Planning. Besides these areas you have an indirect overall responsibility on personnel based in Soest. You are reporting directly to the VP of the region, participate in the Regional Leadership team and lead the Local Leadership team for the Soest based business. On a daily basis you lead 8 direct reports (50 FTE indirect, temps excluded).

Your key challenges:

• Build and develop relationships across the operations / region
• Develop strategy and implement and effective organization fulfilling high delivery requirements from customers
• Develop efficient processes and communication methods between the departments (Demand-, S&OP- and Productionplanning)
• Manage operations, improve efficiency and increase productivity (Continuous improvement, LEAN)
• Monitor budgets and review financial statements

Responsibility areas:

• Full P&L responsibility of the operations including budgeting, follow up and taking corrective actions
• Daily management of operations team including production, procurement, warehousing, logistics and HSEQ
• Working capital management
• Overall responsibility to ensure the plant and equipment is implemented and maintained in accordance with local engineering standards, statutory legislation , ISO systems and HSEQ and REACH regulations
• Identifying and implementing procurement initiatives
• Implementation of group projects
• Customer claim management including corrective actions implementation
• Works council negotiation and facility-management

This role requires strong leadership & personality, commitment, enthusiasm and a proactive, business minded approach. You are able to switch between a strategic and operational, hands-on role.

Experience & Education

• 10 years experience in production industry (FMCG, chemicals or other relevant industry)
• 5 years experience in a managerial role with full financial responsibility in an international environment
• Experience with SAP (preferred) and efficiency projects such as LEAN
• Bachelor or Master preferred in Business Administration or Engineering
